High Performance Rigging Info
Walt Green is the sole owner and a professional FAA Master Parachute Rigger with ratings in all three types. He currently inspects and repacks the parachutes for most of the aerobatic, warbird and gliding aircraft pilots in the Front Range of Colorado, and is the trusted rigger for skydiving customers. He has worked hard to become the prominent parachute rigger for this area. The loft is a FAA examined facility, with regulation packing tables, equipment and machines. Because his loft is fully insured, you will have loss protection for your valuable parachute assemblies in case if fire, theft or other casualty.
This loft has achieved longstanding prominence in this area and has proved to be a stable business service for over 9 years.
He sponsors regular gatherings of Parachute Riggers in this area and training is ongoing. Several of this area’s top parachute riggers use the facility for continuing rigger training and rigging work. Cooperative skill sharing and knowledge is important to staying current, and is a superior approach to being a “one man shop”. "Collaborative sharing of rigger knowledge, with several riggers present at my loft, keeps all of us here sharp and current in all areas." He also maintains close parachute rigger contacts with our military academy and the parachute manufacturers, as he believes that no one knows it all.
As Colorado’s FAA Designated Parachute Rigger Examiner (DPRE), he is in constant contact with the Denver Flight Standards District Office, and is just a telephone call away from speaking with his FAA standards supervisor. He has trained several Senior Parachute Riggers, and the Denver FSDO FAA inspector has observed his testing of applicants at the loft, which is the only FAA inspected and approved testing facility for Colorado.
